Just a recap, I have waited long for Intel's Basis Peak fitness/Smartwatch to come out but only to return it a few days after getting it because of the inaccurate readings of its sensors and step counter plus I developed a skin allergy on their wrist band.
The problem of Basis Peak is becoming clear now that it's not an isolated incidents but a lot of users are reporting the same problem that I experienced on their sensors and here's one of them.

Basis Peak - My Review (Update 11/13/14)
I have purchased the new Basis Peak from Peak, an Intel company and according to the company it has a lot of sensors to satisfy those people who are looking for heart rate and sleeping monitor in one small device that act as a watch also and their road map includes integration with your phone (available in Android and iOS).
First, I have been using wearable tech for quite sometime. I owned and lost 2 Fitbit One because it's so tiny that there are 99% chance of me losing it because of its size. I liked Fitbit One but since losing two of it, I have decided to get a big one were I will not lose it and did some research and found Basis Peak, so I pre-ordered it to Bestbuy and got it Nov. 5th.
I like the color combination of black and matte red and the feel of the band is good considering I have skin asthma and reacts to almost any band that touches my skin. I recharged the watch and started using it. I am impressed by the heart rate monitor as it continuously does it function of monitoring your heartbeat but I'm questioning the tracking of steps as it's not accurate comparing the results to Google Fit app installed on my Samsung Galaxy S4. Google fit is reporting that I made 5,000 steps since this morning while Basis Peak is only saying that I only made 3,500 steps which is a huge difference and comparing the result of Google Fit with my former Fitbit One devices, they're reporting the same steps so I am confident with Google Fit's report.
I like the web portal and the app of Basis Peak, it gives users an insights and details of the activities and habits defined by user.
Bestbuy told me that I can try the product for 15 days and if I'm not happy then I will return it and from the looks of it, I will return the device soon if the tracking didn't improve.
I'm looking at getting the new Microsoft band or the Fitbit Surge.

It is with disappointment that I returned my Basis Peak at Bestbuy because of the following reasons:
1. Steps counter is inaccurate - comparing the results with my Fitbit One, Samsung Galaxy S4 with Google Fit app and Samsung Galaxy Note 3 using S Health, the result is very far compared to the 3 device/app that I have used.
2. I developed a skin allergy at the short time that I used the device and my allergy is getting worse and I have sent an email to their support and I'm still awaiting feedback from them.
